Challenged Athletes Love Football ‘NO TO DISCRIMINATION YES TO EQUALITY’ campaign Farenetwork activity event featured 11 teams and over 220 players [82 Girls & 139 boys] in the four (4) divisions of Gulu Municipal Council June 8, 2018 through July 7, 2018.
6 league matches were played over a period of 3 weeks concluding a mini league commencing June 8, 2018 through June 28, 2018. Each of the four (4) U16 primary boys’ matches lasted 60 minutes comprising of two 30 minutes interval per game June 8-28, 2018. The concluding five matches; U16 Girls one head-off finals, U16 girls 8 v 8 match, U16 Boys Challenged Athletes play one head-off finals, Champions Challenge Cup girls and boys categories finals July 7, 2018 was hosted at SOS Primary School. Trophies were awarded to winners in all five categories and two runners up in U16 Girls as well as U16 Boys Challenged Athletes categories.
Adequate refreshments, snacks and bottled water was made available during the entire tournament period for the respective participating schools. Great thanks to Movit for being the major event sponsors joining Gulu Wheelchair Basketball Club in saying NO TO DISCRIMINATION and YES TO EQUALITY.

Fare is a Corporate Social Responsibility partner of UEFA and a partner of FIFA on anti-discrimination issues. Every year, Fare runs campaigns addressing key issues and supports and funds events that promote the empowerment of women and ethnic minorities, tackle discrimination in and through football, celebrate diversity and social inclusion. GWBC was a recipient of USD 1,000 to fund projects that involve playing activities alongside educational activities. Fare require a minimum of 10 playing sessions and a minimum of 200 participants as direct beneficiaries. Fare also require public impact through pre-publicity and media work.
